Gorillas!! Extra Special Article

Head-scratcher!!

Silver Back!!

Yay! Gorillas! Today you will learn about gorillas! Their diet is mainly fruit, leaves, and shoots. They also have strong teeth to CRUSH bamboo.

GRAY
Male gorillas over age 12 are called 'silverbacks,' becuase of the silver patch on the back. I think this is very interesting. Well, for all those gray-haired ladies, be glad becuase you don't gray at age 12 (hopefully.)

Amazing Human-like Creatures
These gorillas can be ferocious, but one boy fell into the gorilla enclosure at the zoo, and a gorilla cradled him, protected him, and helped him stay safe. This tells us that gorillas can be nice, and they are very human-like.
Primates!!! Woohoo!!
Go primates! We all are primates (even you monkeys reading this.) Lets go PRIMATES!!!

The scientific name is gorilla gorilla. Weird huh! Also cool and mysterious!

Giant Armadillo

Yahoo!! Armadillo!!! We are now speaking about the Giant Arm-a-dil-lo. Wow! That's hard to spell. These mammals are covered in an armor- (see pictures.) They have 14 out of 17 moveable bands of horn and bone, and can curl up when afraid. They live is South America, and have a habitat of underground burrows. The diet of a giant armadillo consists of worms, snakes, termites, and other creepy crawly things. I think these are so funny looking! Bye!

Emergency!! Sharks!!!

Emergency!!! I will NOT tell this to my little brother, Jack. I just found out that-*dramatic pause while scary music plays*-not only the leopard shark is endangered!!! Almost all of these big-biters are endangered. It is mainly HUMAN'S fault. Illegal hunters are hunting sharks for their ?fins? Weird. Other sharks are caught by accident. That is not human's fault. Well it is time for the informational part. Sharks eat fish, smaller than them. There are many types of sharks. Sharks are FISH not mammals. The Great White Shark is known as the most dangerous creature in the sea. OK. If you know Jack, don't tell him. Or YOU will be shark bait;-D haha

Hippos!

Hi! Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I hope you like my Christmasy theme, and the new cursor. My post is about hippos. I love hippos. They are becoming very endangered. People are hunting them for tusks, and for the people's safety. Hippos are known to kill more people than lions a year. Their diet is weeds, and other plants in the water body they live in. I love hippos!!!

"Chopper Musical"

So the other day I was going through pics of Chop Suey, and I edited one to make it more exiting. It is not really a "dog" border, but, my siblings (Jack and Brenna) think it is hysterical. It actually is worth a couple giggles :o) Hey, who likes Troy and Gabriella?

Chopper Boy

Checking out the backyard plastic pool :-)

He's smiling for the camera.

He LOVES his belly scratched.

Hi! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Well, I just got a new dog, his name is Chopper, but we call him Chop for short. He is a Boston Bull Terrier. He is so cute. He is an inside and outside dog, but we prefer outside, and he prefers inside. I like him becuase he is smaller then my former dogs. I still have a pet of my own, a fish named Pearl, but Chopper is really fun. It was funny when we tried to play fetch with him, and the ball was to big for his mouth! Luckily we went to Target to get him treats and new, smaller ball toys. Also, he fell asleep on the couch last night. Also, I took all these pics of Chopper. I am becoming a photographer!

Black Bear! Extinct Stinks Special Report.

These bears are...
Being tall.
Staring at you!

Coolin' off in the pool.

Just hanging out.

And getting pepper sprayed by a little girl.

Okay here's my special post. THIS IS NOT A EXTINCT STINKS EXTRA SPECIAL ARTICLE!!!!! Please let me make that clear. It is a professional report by ME. Also, I am very flustered (flustered is a word I learned in school, it means to make disappointed) that my aunt got the clue about these bears in the last post.
The black bear is an omnivore, and eats berries, fruit, and vegetables, but very little meat. Omnivore means it eats meat and plants. People are omnivores.
They are not going extinct, but they are cool. I saw one in the mountains once, and we got a pic of it on it's hind legs.
Predators of this bear is grizzly bears, wolves, and pepper spray. Pepper spay doesn't hurt the bears, but it has a chemical in it that makes a burning sensation on the bears skin.
Don't worry about getting gobbled up by one of these creatures, there has only been 57 human killings in the past 100 years.
I hope you are fond of this post, maybe in the future I will post the real report, which is saved on my computer.

Warning

For those who have been waiting for a new post, I will do one in a few days about an animal I'm doing a report on in class. It is a mammal, but it is not enangered. There is few clues in this post about what it is.
P.S.
I hope you like my new blog background and head pic.
